For your information:

The city of Amsterdam has a very restrictive housing policy.
Private house owners have a lot of trouble renting out their property short term (shorter than half a year). A lot of owners are forced into expensive legal procedures. The city of Amsterdam interferes in healthy economic practice (cityhall nicknamed: Kremlin on the Amstel!).
This makes housing in Amsterdam hard to find and expensive. Amsterdam hotels are amongst the most expensive in the world. We think that should be an extra reason to make it possible to rent out private apartments for a couple of months. This is common practice all over the world probably?
You can’t say that a guest staying for 5 months is a hotel guest, we think.
Dutch bureaucracy in this case is clearly counterproductive, repressive and intimidating.

For companies it may be hard therefore to accommodate their employees. A solution may be to try to find accommodation outside but close to Amsterdam (Hoofddorp, Aalsmeer, Purmerend, Zaanstad, Almere.) You get better value for money there. Public transport connections are good.

We will try hard to accommodate you or your employees according your wishes. Also in Amsterdam center.

We hope to welcome you soon.

Note: In order to avoid paying 5% city tax over your stay in Amsterdam it is recommended to register in the municipal population register at the address that you are staying.
